California Northstate University College of Medicine My experiences moving around a lot overseas and in America, as well as my time in high school and college working with cardiovascular risk research, underserved community volunteering, and a health education nonprofit I founded, helped shape my early desire to practice medicine. Along with my transformative personal fitness journey and channeling my lifelong passion for art and design to create multimedia for health education and assisting healthcare professionals, these experiences cumulatively shaped my desire to become a family physician practicing the breadth of medicine to help people improve their overall wellness individually, through multimedia, and through larger scale macroscopic changes.

I attended the University of California, Merced, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Biology. Afterwards, I completed my Medical Degree at American University of Antigua College of Medicine. As part of Family Medicine, I was drawn to the versatility in caring for the whole person and its importance in fostering effective patient-centered relationships. Being part of LLUMC-M FM program allows me to continue my admiration for medicine and further expand my interest in community health. Outside of medicine, I focus on my mental well-being by participating in yoga, fitness, traveling, and my new fond interest in Broadway musicals.

I grew up in SoCal, majored in art history, completed a postbac premed program in the Midwest, and attended med school overseas. I chose family medicine because it allows me to be on the front lines of health care. As a socially conscious member of my Latinx community, I am dedicated to reducing health disparities and providing equitable and quality care. I am humbled to be a part of a program where I can acquire the necessary skills and empower my patients with the best preventative measures for illness: knowledge and education. My interests are community medicine and HIV/PrEP. During my free time, I enjoy art museums, reading, philosophizing, and spending time with family and friends.

I was born in South Korea and grew up in Fort Collins, CO. I attended undergrad at UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) and medical school at LUCOM. My passion for medicine started from my first mission trip in middle school. At the end of multiple trips, I would always want to contribute more but I just didn't know how. God answered that question by leading me towards family medicine! I am blessed to continue my education through LLUMC-M where I am learning daily from physicians who exemplify what it means to serve. I am happily married and I am a big fan of the Denver Broncos and Nuggets, all foods, and working out. We are expecting a puppy into our family soon (and maybe even some kids)!

I was raised and went to undergrad in So Cal, got my B.S. in Molecular Bio along with a B.A. in Arabic. I stayed in So Cal to attend medical school. Being a first gen college student and growing up in an underserved area has made my main focus on giving back. I knew I wanted to work in family medicine, as it encompasses the majority of specialties and is an easy way to give back. I am so happy to be training at LLUMC-M where I can care and learn from a diverse patient population in an academic setting. Outside of medicine, I love food. Ask me about local foods and I’ll make you a list. So far, my travel list includes 13 countries and I hope to add more to it.

I was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a BS in Communication and Public Relations, not anticipating that I would go to medical school in the future. But the curiosity and passion for medicine came back into my life swiftly and unexpectedly as a post graduate. The reason I chose family medicine was because I loved all aspects of medicine. I love being able to treat people of all ages with varying medical conditions. I feel lucky to be working with an amazing group of residents, who all feel like my extended family. When I am not working I like hanging out with my friends and family.

Born to a Syrian/Armenian immigrant family, my parents moved here from Syria and settled in Costa Mesa, CA. I stayed local and got my BS in biology from UC Irvine. After graduation, I moved to Glendale, AZ, where I completed a specialized Masters program in biomedical sciences at Midwestern University, and then stayed there to attend their Medical school - AZCOM. Growing up around the beach, it’s a given that I love all things water: swimming, water polo, and short walks on the beach. In my free time, you will also find me jamming out to Broadway musical soundtracks, serial napping, supporting the LA Lakers, playing pickleball or finding time to adventure outdoors.

From Asia metropolitans to snowcapped mountains in Denver, I had the fortune to travel liberally and called many cities home during my formative years. In 2017, I was honored to write the physician’s oath at the white coat ceremony at California Northstate University COM. My desire to pursue family medicine was later crystallized when realizing this specialty suits my diverse interests and allows me to care for patients from cradle to grave. So far, I found myself gravitating towards women and children’s care and palliative care. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, photography, music, and spending time with family and friends. Some of my favorite destinations include Montreal, Singapore, and Maui.
