I am a native Kansan who is delighted and fortunate to be in Southern California to help develop this new residency program and to be near my wife's family. I am proud to be part of an exceptional team at Loma Linda University Medical Center – Murrieta with a focus on building an internal medicine residency program to train exceptional physicians to serve the people of California's Inland Empire. My professional passions are resident and student education and wellness.
On a personal level, I delight in spending time with my wife and two daughters. I enjoy reading, history, swimming, and baseball — and soon, surfing.

Jeff Edmunds has been practicing medicine for over 10 years with an emphasis on hospital medicine and caring for critically ill patients. Prior to this, he had a career as a private-practice dietitian as well as spending over 11 years as a nutrition and exercise-physiology teacher for undergraduate nutrition students in Texas and culinary students at the Art Institute of California. Jeff continues to enjoy employing his medical and nutrition knowledge coupled with extensive teaching experience to educate future physicians at Loma Linda University Medical Center – Murrieta where he is currently the Chair of the Medicine Department.
I was born and raised in Westchester County, New York, where I earned my associates degree in Paralegal Studies and worked in the same law firm for 15 years before moving to California in 2013. In 2015, I expanded my experience as a contract administrative assistant at Loma Linda University Medical Center – Murrieta. In April 2016, I transitioned into a new role as policy and procedure coordinator in the Quality and Patient Safety Department. I took a new position as Family Medicine Residency Program Coordinator in 2019. In July 2022, I received a promotion as Internal Medicine Program/Institutional & Contracts Coordinator.
I ask a lot of questions because of my ambition, eager to learn new things and embrace new challenges.
