- Every month, you switch to a new specialty to gain experience and learn skills in a variety of treatment areas.
- The curriculum is designed for residents to advance to supervisory roles after completing 12 months of intern level residency.
Curriculum by Year
PGY - 1
In your first year you will transition from a medical student to a clinically skilled physician. Your training is facilitated by a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
PGY - 2
During your second year, you will continue to develop inpatient medicine skills and broaden clinical competence in primary and consultative medicine. You will also learn the art of supervising junior residents.
PGY - 3
Your third year provides time for mastery of the academic and clinical skills necessary to become a board-certified internist. You will be given chief resident opportunities as well as protected time for board preparation.
