Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) therapy involves breathing 100% oxygen while inside a pressurized treatment chamber. It is a very effective treatment for many conditions and can be used along traditional wound care treatments.

Treatment involves 90 minutes at the prescribed treatment pressure, plus the time required to pressurize and depressurize the chamber. Each of our four hyperbaric chambers is equipped with an entertainment unit for patient comfort.

When to Seek Treatment

Wounds that won’t heal occur when the level of oxygen in and around the wound decreases. Low oxygen levels do not allow the body to heal and fight infection.

Our team offer comprehensive treatment options and specialize in chronic non-healing wounds caused by:

  • Artery disease
  • Bone infections
  • Burns
  • Diabetes
  • Failed skin grafts
  • Poor circulation
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Radiation therapy
  • Surgical wounds

Benefits of HBO Treatments

  • Advanced wound healing
  • Increased oxygen delivery to injured tissue
  • Preservation of damaged tissue
  • Greater blood vessel formation
  • Improved infection control
