Our program aims to cultivate residents into highly skilled physicians and surgeons. Residents will gain confidence in all facets of podiatric care, encompassing both medical and surgical practices. Key features of our program include a diverse array of elective surgical procedures, with a strong focus on the latest innovations in minimally invasive techniques, Charcot reconstruction, reconstructive surgery of the forefoot and rearfoot, sports medicine, and limb preservation strategies.

Curriculum by year
PGY-1
The first-year curriculum primarily aims to build a broad foundation of medical knowledge through rotations in emergency medicine, internal medicine, intensive care, behavioral health, cardiology, infectious diseases, anesthesia, wound care, and medical imaging.
PGY-2
The second-year curriculum primarily aims to further develop residents' surgical skills through rotations in various specialties, including podiatric surgery, vascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, and orthopedic surgery.
PGY-3
The primary focus of the third-year curriculum is mastery of medical knowledge and surgical skills to perform as a highly competent podiatric physician and surgeon. Residents can expect to participate in personalized electives to further develop their specific career goals.
Didacts and Educational Activities
Weekly didactics incorporate various modalities including journal clubs, faculty presentations, hands-on workshops, surgical skills labs, research methodology, boards prep courses, and online lectures.
