Our Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program (PMSR) is a comprehensive three-year training program, approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) with an added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery (RRA).

As a resident, you’ll train in all medical and surgical aspects of foot and ankle care, honing your skills in both inpatient and outpatient coverage. You’ll gain extensive experience with a broad range of elective and traumatic surgical cases and rotate through an established limb salvage program — a vital learning experience that provides in-depth training in limb preservation and amputation prevention.

Why Train with Us?

  • Collaborative environment: We cultivate a close-knit environment that promotes a unique atmosphere of support and camaraderie, distinguishing it from other medical residencies.

  • Committed mentors: Our faculty is dedicated to helping ensure the success of every resident. Their mentorship significantly influences residents' careers beyond graduation.

  • Supporting health in our community: We actively strive to enhance health outcomes in our community. Our residents play a crucial role by delivering podiatric services at community gatherings, engaging in health fairs, presenting at continuing medical education events, contributing to medical research, and educating the public on foot and ankle health.

  • Specialized training: Our program is fully integrated with the Murrieta Heart, Vascular, and Limb Preservation Department at the Medical Center. This group of experts are integral in training our residents, preparing them to emerge as future leaders in limb preservation and amputation prevention.
