“What Our Leadership Is Saying”
Our community’s health comes first. Not only do we provide high-level care with compassion, we train other teams to improve the standard of care in the region.
Diseases of the aorta are life-threatening and can lead to aortic rupture and cardiac arrest. Our comprehensive cardiovascular team includes interventional cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons invested in your treatment plan from start to finish.
We treat all three major categories of aortic endovascular disease:
During your first visit, your physician will review your imaging results and start developing a custom treatment plan. Our multidisciplinary team will collaborate to finalize the plan and get you the care you need.
Screening is an important part of diagnosing potential problems with the aorta as early as possible. You should be screened (usually with a CT scan) if you have a family history of aneurysms and aortic dissections. Stable aortic tears can be screened for in our clinic to identify aneurysm early. Males with a history of smoking, ages 65-75, are particularly at risk for aneurysms in the abdominal aorta that can be detected with an ultrasound.
Based on the imaging from CT scans and ultrasounds, our team develops a tailored approach to the treatment of each patient. This can vary from aggressive heart rate and blood pressure management, minimally-invasive endografts inserted through the groin and bypass surgeries.
We repair aortas by covering the area with a stent graft that is made specifically for each patient. The stent is surrounded by normal tissue, resulting in a stronger repair of the aortic dissection.
Our team is here to provide you with the education resources to best understand your treatment and recovery. Our nurse practitioners and coordinators help you every step of the way as you progress through your treatment plan. Our cardiac rehabilitation team helps you recover after your treatment.
Our community’s health comes first. Not only do we provide high-level care with compassion, we train other teams to improve the standard of care in the region.
